AN ORDINANCE CREATIlVG THE OFFICE OF AIR,PORT MANAGER
FOR COX FIELD, I?EFIlVING THE POWERS AND DUT1ES, ADOPTING
THE TAXI AND TR.AFFIC RULES OF THE FEDERAL AVIATTON AGENCY,
PROVII?ING FOR A PENALTY FOR ANY VIOLATION THEREOF, AND RE_
PEALIlVG ALL ORDIlVANCES, RULES ANI? REGULATIONS IlV CONFLICT
THEREWITH.
BE IT OR.DAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PA RZS, TEXAS :
Section 1. That there is hereby created the office of Airport
Manager of the Cox Field Airport, belonging to the City of Paris, Texas.
That the Airport Manager s hall be selected by the City Council of the
City of Pa,ris and shall be paid such wages as is prescribed from time to
time by the City Council of the City of Paris.
-Section 2. That the Airport Manager, selected by the City of Paris,
is hereby vested with authority to do any and all things ne cessa ry in polic-
ing Cox Field Airport, to provide for the safety of aircraft and persons
using or in the vicinity thereof, and with full authority to see that all air-
port rules and r egulations and traffic and taxi rules are enforce d.
Section 3. That the taxiing rules and traffic rules issued b y the
Fe deral Aviation Agency, Air Traffic Service, effective 27th day of
August, A. D., 1962, are hereby adopted, together with any amendments
hereafter made thereto, and are made a part of this ordina.nce.
Section 4. Any person, firm or corporation, who sha.ll violate any of
the prov isions of the airpor t rules and regulations, or the traffic and
ta.xi rules, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be
punished bya fine not exceeding Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars. That
each violation thereof shall be considered a separate offense and punish-
able as such.
Section 5. All ordinances or rules and regulations in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Passed and adopted this 13th day of August, A. D. , 1962.
