ORDI NANCE NO.1> 3 5 AN ORDINANCE CONTROLLING AND R.EGULATING TRAFFIC ALQNG THE EAST HALF OF SOUTH MAIN STREEET FOR A DISTANCE OF 88 FEET SOUTH OF I7S IN- TERSECTION WITH THE SOUTH EAST CORNER OF THE PLAZA9 AND PROHIBITING THE PARKING' S TOPPING AND RANKING OF VEHICLES ALONG THE EAST SIDE OF SUCH PQRTION OF SOUTH MAIN STAEET; DEFINING TERtiB, ESTABLISHING A PENALTY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE I T ORDAI NED B Y THE CI TY COUNCI L OF THE CI TY OF PARI S s Section 1. VJhen signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall at any time park a vehicle along that portion of the East side of South Main Street extending from its intersection with the South side of Cla rksville Street South for a distance of 88 feet. Section 2. That portion of the East one-half of South Main Street frorrt its intersection with the South side of Clarksville Street at the South East corner of the Plaza South for a distance of 88 feet shall be divided into two (2) traffic lanes of approximately equal widths for the use of traffic proceedinr in a northerly direction along such portion of said street, the left lane or portion of which shall be used exclusively for traffic approaching such intersection and proceeding northerly across the Plaza. The right lane or portion of such 88 feet of said street shall be used exclusively for automo- biles approaching such intersection in order to make a right turn at such intersection onto Clarksville Street, and such lane shall be used for no other purpose. Section 3. The word "vehicle"", as used in this ordinance, shall mean every device in, upon or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn. Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 5. Any person who shall violate any provision of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not less than $3.009 provided that no costs of court may be assessed for any such violation.
