RAILROAD RIGHT GF 4V,AY, ABUTTING UN A PRESENT EA.ST CITY LIMIT LINE OF SAID CITY, AND BEING 15 ACRES OF THE PARIS JUNIUR COLLEGE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY ADJOINING THE WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF THE PROPERTY GF THE WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC 0:~1P ORA- TION, INSTRUCTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO N4AKE A SURVEY FIXING AND ES- TABLISHING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE HEREWITH AND TO CQNSTRUCT A OOMPLETE MAP OF SUCH TERRITORY HEREIN ,AND HEREBY EXCLUDED FROM THE CORPORATE AREA OF SAID CITY. BE IT GRD.AINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY Or PARISp TEXAS: Section 1. That the following described territory presently lo- cated within the corporate limits of the City of Faris in Lamar County, Texas be, and the same is hereby, separated, disannexed, removed and ex- cluded from the corporate area of said City, and the boundary limits of the City of Paris are hereby amended, changed and corrected so as to ex- clude said territory and to conform to the same as herein set out, to-wit: Being a part of the George W. Cox Survey in Lamar County, Texas, and being a part of the Paris Junior College pro - perties, bounded as follows: Beginning at a point in the S. B. Line of Clarksville Street (U.S. 271) at the N. W. corner of the Westinghouse Electric Corporation property and a present corner of the presently existing City Limit Lines, said beginning point also being the most Northerly North East corner of the property presently owned by Paris Junior College; Thence in a North Westerly direction with the S. B. Line of said U.S. 271, 613 feet; Thence South 1260 feet to the N. B. Line of the Texas & Pacific Railway right of way; Thence East with said railway right of way line 600 feet to the S. W. corner of the Westinghouse property ~~ta present corner of the City Limits; Thence North rr'it a present City Limit Line and the W. B. Line of said Westinghouse property to the place of beginning. Section 2. The present boundaries of Ward One of the City of Paris are hereby corrected and changed so as to exclude the above de- scribed territory and property and the same is hereby removed and ex- cluded from said Ward One of the City of Paris, Texas. Section 3. The City Engineer is hereby instructed to make a complete survey of the above described territory and to mark the bounda- ries cf the City Limit Lines as established by this ordinance after the removal and exclusion of the above described tract from the existing or present corporate limits of the City of Paris, and he is further in- structed to immediately correct the map of the City of Paris so as to remove and exclude therefrom the territory described herein, indicating on such map the date of the separation and disannexation of said above described tract from the corporate limits of the City of Paris. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage. Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris in regular session convened on this 14th day of November, 1955.
