Sec-tior, 1. That a necessity exists for tYze permanent improvemerit

vazing, graciing and paving the sd ~~rie, oy tne installation of drainage fa-
cilities therein, by tiie construction of curb ar,d gutters where adeauate
curbs and ,utters are r.ot now in place, and such improvements are hereby
orderea, the portions of public streets to be so improved aeing desig-
nated a;,d aetined as follctNS, to-wit;
(1) 30tti Streei N. E. frorn the itiortn Curb Line of Larnar
tivenue to the South Curb Line of Etst CherryStreet
Section 2. That said street shall be paved with the followinc;
type or pavetnent: Six inch (6") compac-ted flexible base with asphaltic
seal and surrace, all accordiny to standGrd City of Paris specificatior.s
for the building and constructior; of such type streets. Sucn street
will oe paved from curb to curb, curbs and yutters oi the standard City
of Paris desiyn and specificatior-is will be constructed where tne Birector
of Public 'Veorks of the City of Paris determiries that adequate curbs and
gutters do not exist, and necessary drainaye facilities will be installeG.
The plans arld specifications for all such improvements, hereto:ore pre-
pared py the Departrnent of Public Vdor'cs of the City of Faris, and row on
file with the City Council, are iiereby in all thin,ys approved.
Section 3. The City iviana,er is hereby authorized and directed to
advertise for bids for the improvement wor;c herein described, ttie adver-
tising, receiving and oper,in3 of such bids to be as provided 'oy the
Chari.er of the City of Paris and the laws of tt;e State of Texas. Upon the
receipt and oNenirg of the bids for such improvement work, the Direczor af
Public 'ruorks ef t'rie City of Paris is directed to prepare and iile with the
City Council ris estimate of the total cost of the improvements herein
ordered and the total amount of t.he part of the costs thereof to be paid
uy L-ile Ci;,y of Paris ir. accordance witn i:he previsions of Section 5hereof
and of tiie instructions which may be yiven him by the City Council.
Section 4. The Ci-ty Council of the City of Paris deems it ad-
visable and hereiDy determines to proceed under and in exercise of the
powers, terms and provisions of Article 1105b, R.C.S. 1925, and the pro-
visions of the ChGrter of tne City of Paris adopting said statute of the
Sia te of Texas.
Section b. The ccsts of said improvements shall be paid as
follows, io-wit:
(a) ihe City shall ;oay al:l of the costs of drainage
installations, wherever located, if any, all the
costs of excavation, base preparation and pavin;
within street intersections, and not less than

streets involved. In cases where ine Ciiy Council
may deern it just and proper, the City shall also
pay all or any part of the amount of any credited
