AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 21)NING C`RDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
AND CHANGING T}E BGUNDARIES ESTABLISI-ED IN THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY
GF PARIS, ESTABLISHING A C:ORM4ERCIAL DISTRICT QN WEST SI-ERMAN STREET IN
SAID CITY 'IO INCLUDE TI-EREIN IERRITURY DESIGNAIED AS A RESIDENTIAL
DISTRICT AND DESIGNATING Tl-E BOUNDARIES OF THE OUNINERCIAL DISTRICT SO
ESTABLISHED.
BE IT QRDAINED BY THE GITY CL-UNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARISt TEXASs
Section 1. That the boundaries established by the zoning map and
ordinances of the City of Paris, bep andthe same are hereby, changedp
and that a"Commercial District" beg and the same is hereby, established
an West Sherman Street, to include in the"Commercial District" the
hereinafter described territory presently designated as a"Residential
District", and that the boundaries of said "Commercial District" be,
and the same are hereby established as followss
Being a part of City Block 137t fronting 44 feet on the
West Boundary Line of West Sherman Streetg and bounded as
follows:
Being a lot fronting approximately 44 feet on the South
Boundary Line of West Sherman Streeto andbeing a part of the
Larkin Rattan Survey on south side of Sherman Street and a
part of Lst tract described in deed from Charlie VJard and
wife to grantors, dated June 139 1953 and recorded in Book
335, page 2589 Lamar Courrty Deed Records.
Beginning at a stake on the S.B. line of Sherman Streetg
at the N. W. Corner of above mentioned tract being the lst
tract in deed from Ward and wifc to grantors herein.
Thence South with W. B. line of lst tract 197-~ feet, a
stake, the S. W. Corner of said tract;
Thence East with the S. B. line of said tract 42-- feet;
the most Southern S. E. Corner of said tract;
Thence North with its E. B. line 962 feet, as5ing an
ell corner thereofo continuing North in all 197~ feet more
or less to a stake in the S. B. line of Sherman St.
Thence West with the S. B. line of Sherman St. 44 feet
more or less to place of beginning, being the same property
conveyed by Charlie Ward & wife to grantors, save and except
that portion off the East Side thereof haretofore conveyed
to Ed Landers.
Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Paris beg and he is
hereby authorized and directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of
Paris in accordance with the provisions of this ardinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Paris in e qular
meeting at the Council Chambers in the City Hall this f~u` day of
September, 19539 effective upon passage.
