Section l, That for the year beginning the lst day of July, 19l+7, and endine the 30"v'h
day of J'une, 1948, the foilowine appropriations are hereby made outt of the revenuas
of the City of Faris of the respective arsotmts and for the respective purposes here-
inafter stated.
There is hereby set aside and anpropriated for thca purpose oP paying fixed charges
and liabilities of the City of Paris falling due during the year, the sum of

Seetion 2. No Jaarz•ant shall be a.ssued for the payment of any city moneys, nor shall
the Treasurer pay any yrarrant drawn, except in pavr;lent of items, and f'or purposes
aizthorized and provided in Section "111 hereof, and no liability shall be incurred
against the city under this ordinance after the 30th day of June, 1948, Any sums re-
maininr, unexpended after the said 30th dAy of June, 194$, shall revert to and become
part of the Current Fund of the City.

rSection 3. The City Secretarp is instructed to furnish the Treasurer vrith a copy of
this Qrdir_ance, and the Treasurer is instructed to open and Zceep proper accounts t°rith
the different departments provided for in Section "111 hereof, to insure the disburse-
ment af the funds iri accordance ti;rith this C3rdinance.
The f'act that the time has arrigeci for making up the Budget for the Current
Fiscal Year, 1947-1948, creates a public emergency requiring that the Charter provis-
ions and rules prohibiting the nassage of an ordinance at the sarie meeting at which
it is introduced, and reruiring it to be subr.iitted to a Co.mmittee be suspended and
the same is accordingly done, and this Ordinance shall take effect Prom and after
ita passage.
