.k _ _ a m <br />ORDINANCE Ido. / I <br />AId ORDTNANCE TO AMEND 3ECTION 1 A of ORDINANCE No. 956 OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, AND DFGLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIZ OF THE CI`rY OF PARIS: <br />That Section 1 A of the Ordinance No. 956 of the City of Paris, <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Seet3.on lA: All trucks, whether loaded or unloaded, except <br />such trucks as Are ordinarily dasignated as pick--up trucks, <br />not exceeding in length the length of an ordinary autornobile, are <br />hereby prohibited from parking or ranking at any place on the <br />straeta surrounding the main plaze., or on any part, or po,rn~ _ <br />of any street n; <br /> <br />v-provided thAt sa3.d trueks, when Poading or unlos~ding, for the <br />purpose of receining or delivering merchandise to and f'rom Paris, <br />merchants or Paris businesses, map occupy the loading and unload» <br />ing placses designated by ordinance of the Citg for the purpose oP <br />receiving or making deliveries of inerehandise, goods or other <br />commodities, under the provisions and regulations contained in <br />the ordinance regulating the use ot' said loading and unloading <br />placeso It shall be the duty of t he City Marshall to establish <br />parking places which shall be available to trucks coming under <br />the provisions of this ordinanne either on the market Square, or <br />other public property, and to instruct and require the owner, <br />driver or person in charga of such trucks or nehicles who shall <br />violate or fail or refuse to eomply with any of the provisions <br />of this section, shall be deemed guilty oP a misdeaeanor, and on <br />conaiction thereof in the corporation court be punished by fine <br />in any amount not exceeding $100.00." <br />The fact that the subject herein regu3ated is presently <br />ereating a hazard to traffic on the streets in the City of Paris, <br />ereates a publie anergeMCy requiring that rules and charter pro- <br />visions prohibiting passage of nn ordinance at the meeting at <br />which it is introduced and requiring submission to a. committeebbe <br />suspended, and the same is aceordingl y done, and this ordinanee <br />shall take effeat from and after 3ts pagsage. <br />Passed ,S- `?---~`1948. ~ <br />~ <br />Alite$'V a <br />~ l! j. fii <br />t Y 3ecretary Mayor!tiit of paris <br />
