2232 RES COP DESIRES TO ENTER A COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH LAMAR COUNTYRESOLUTION NU. 2232
WHEREAS, the City of Paris as a part of Lamar County
desires to enter a cooperation agreement with Lamar County
in order that it may share in the location of some of the
twenty units of Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation Housing
receritly approved by the Department of Housing and Urban
Development for Lamar County; and,
wHEREAS, the form of said agreement is attached hereto
as Exhibit "A"; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, Joe Graham, be,
and he is hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the
City of Paris to execute said cooperation agreement with
Lamar County, in the form as attached hereto as Exhibit "A".

EXHIBIT "A"
COOPERATIreN AGREEMENT
This Agreement entered into b_y and between the Lamar County
(herein called the "county") and the City of Faris, Texas'(herein cal1ed the
"citv") WITNESSETH:
WNF-REAS, the county has entered into contr•act with the Department of Housing
arid Urban Development (DFIUD) to complete twerty (20) units of Section 8
Moderate Rehabilitation Housing under DkIUD project number TX16-K499-006
a copy of which is attached and made a par± of the contract hereto, and
WHEREAS, the county desires to provide the benefits of the Section 8 Moderate
Rehabilitation program to all county residPnts, including those resicling
within the city.
NOW THEREFORE 6E IT RESOLVED:
l. The Coun±y agrees to utilize a portion of its Section 8 Moderate
Rehabilitation units within the ;jurisdictional limits of the city.
2. The county aqrees that said units within the city will abide with city
building codes, permit requirements and other locally enforced regulations.
3. The city agrees that the Sectian 8 Moderate Rehabilitation program
would benefit 7ts residents and agrees to accept county units placed
within the city under the terms and conditions of the county's contract
with DHUC.
4. The city concurs that the ceunt_y's subcontract with the Ark-Tex Council
of Gover•nments will remain in fu11 force and effect far the duration of
the subcontract. Should the county desire to renegotiate said subcontract
it will do sa with the mutual consent of the city.
The City af Faris, Texas and Lamar County have agreed to the terms of this
cooperation agreement and executed same on the date indicated above as evidenced
by the following signatures.
