WHEREAS, the City Cour.cil of the City of Paris did
heretofore on the 14th day of April, 1982, pass Resolution
2160 authorizing Robert W. Sokoll to acknowledge on behalf
of the City of Paris on dealing with the State of Texas and
Federal Emergency Management Association with regard to
reimbursement for April 2, 1982 tornado related expendi-
tures; and,
WHEREAS, Robert W. Sokoll has been succeeded as City
Manager of the City of Paris by David H. Doty and it is
appropriate that he be authorized to acknowledge on behalf
of the City of Paris in dealing with the State of Texas and
Federal Emergency Management Association with regard to
reimbursement for April 2, 1982 tornado related expendi-
tures; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that David H. Doty, City Manager, is hereby au-
thorized to execute for and in behalf of the City of Paris,
a public entity established under the laws of the State of
Texas, project applications and to file ther:i in the appro-
priate State office for the purpose of obtaining certain
Federal financial assistance under the Disaster Relief Act
(Public Law 288, 93rd Cor_gress) or otherwise available fror.l
the President's Disaster Relief Fund.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Paris, a
public entity established under the laws of the State of
Texas, hereby authorizes its agent, David H. Doty, to
provide to the State and to the Federal Disaster Assistance
Administration (FDAA), Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUI7) for all required matters pertaining to
such Federal disaster assistance.
