83-012 RES CITY COUNCIL AT REGULAR MEETING ON FEBRUARY 14 1983 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR FURNISHING PLANT ETC OF TWO BOX CULVERTS ON FITZHUGH AVERESOLUTION N0. 2246 (Z!;,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at
its regular meeting on February 14, 1983, approve the adver-
tisement for bids for furnishing all plant, labor, material,
except precast reinforced concrete box section to be
supplied by the Owner, and equipment and performing all work
required for the installation of two (2) 10' x 5' x 30' box
culverts on Fitzhugh Avenue, North of Clement Road and South
of the Stillhouse Road intercharige at Loop 286, Paris,
Texas, entitled Fitzhugh Avenue Drainage Project, which bids
were received until 10:00 o'clock A.M., Wednesday, March 9,
1983; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction was made by
Richard Drake d/b/a Richard Drake Construction Company,
Route l, Arthur City, Texas, and he should be awarded the
bid for such construction; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction
project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form
should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE,
nE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the Bid of Richard Drake, d/b/a Richard Drake
Construction Company, for the Fitzhugh Avenue Drainage
Project, in the amount of $16,998.84, is hereby accepted and
let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the
terms and specifications included in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Joe Graham, be, and is hereby authorized and directed
to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contract for
Fitzhugh Avenue Drainage Project, upon the terms and
conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached
hereto, with Richard Drake, d/b/a Richard Drake Construction
Company,
