ti~IEREAS, the City Council of the City o~ Paris is aware
of the fact that the City of Paris serves customers located
in the Sulphur River Basin with water derived from the Red zed River Basin and i sued by the hTexa Departmentlof Water
reflected in permits
Resources; and,
LIHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is
desirous of amending perMits number 646a and 2137 to reflect
the transbasin diversions from the Red River Basin to the
Sulphur River Basin; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that David H. Doty, City Manager of the City of
Paris, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to
execute in behalf of the City of Paris the amendment to
Texas Department of Water Resources permits number 646a and
2137 providir.g for transbasin diversion of water from Red

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said City Manager be,
and he is hereby authorized to furnish a.nd execute any
communications, documents, assurances, and other related
