83-034 RES STATE LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES COMMISSION VOTED TO ACCEPT PROGRAM OF SERVICES SUBMITTED BY GARLAND TXRESOLUTION PdO. 83-034
WHEREAS, the State Library and Archives Commission has
voted to accept the program of services submitted by Garland,
Texas, which included the designation of the Nicholson
Memorial Library at Garland as the Major Resource Center
Library for the Northeast Texas Library System (NETLS)
replacing the Dallas Pub:Lic Library as such Major Resource
Center for NETLS; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it
to be in the best interest to the citizens of Paris and
Lamar County that the City Council concur in such desig-
nation; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the City of Paris concurs with the State Library
and Archives Commission's designation of the Nicholson
Memorial Library at Garland as the Major Resource Center for
the Northeast Texas Libra.ry System.
