83-046 RES CITY COUNCIL RECOGNIZES COP'S LONG RANGE NEED FOR MUNICIPAL AND INDUSTRIAL POTABLE WATER SUPPLYRESOLUTION N0. $3-046
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, recognizes said City's long range need for Municipal
and Industrial potable water supply; and,
WHEREAS, the Red River Authority of Texas has a legal,
financial, and technical expertise for the development of
water supplies and determining the feasibility of developing
such supplies; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the City Council of the City of Paris does
hereby request the Red River Authority to perforr_i a Recon-
naissance Study to determine the feasibility of a water
supply project for Paris and Lamar County, Texas; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVEU that the City Council will
support the furtherance of a proposed project, should the
study reveal the project economically feasible.
