83-048 RES CITY COUNCIL IS DESIROUS THAT PARIS PUBLIC LIRARY OFFER BROADEST RANGE OF SERVICE TO CITIZENSFcE;SOLUTION 1'10. 83-048
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is
desirous that the Paris Public Library, within its budgeted
limits, offer the broadest range of service to the citizens
of Paris and Lamar County, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the
citizens of the City of Paris that the Paris Public Library
be a member of the Northeast Texas Library System as
organized with its Major Resource Center Library at Garland,
Texas; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the City of Paris accepts designation of the
Paris Public Library as an area Library in the Northeast
Texas Library System; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that John P. Hastings, Director
of Library Services, City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be and he
is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to
the P3ortheast Texas Library System.
