83-050 RES CITY COUNCIL IN RES NO 2210 AUTHORIZE APPLICATON FOR COMM DEV BLOCK GRANT FUNDSRESOLUTION N0. 83-050
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in
Resolution No. 2210 authorize the application for Community
Development Block Grant Funds and thereafter under the
authority granted in said Resolution the Mayor of the City
of Paris did accept funding under Community Development
Block Grant Project Na. B-82-DH-48-0036; and,
WHEREAS, in order to comply with the rules and regu-
lations and Act governing Block Grants, it is necessary the
the City of Paris establish a Housing Rehabilitation Review
Board, which Board shall be composed of five (5) members,
all of whom are citizens of Yaris and who shall be appointed
for two year terms, and the five (5) members shall include
one citizen from each target area as designated in the grant
being adMinistered; and said Board shall be appointed by the
Mayor and confirmed by the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, the mayor of the City of Faris, Joe Graham,
dees hereby appoint the following members:
Foster Stone Garrett-Grove Target Area as shown
on Exhibit A attached hereto
AZbert Ware Provine West Target Area as shown
on Exhibit A attached hereto
TYiurman Reese Walker Target Area as shown on
Exhibit A attached hereto
Betty Kildahl
Member
at
Large
Rachael Braswell
Member
at
Large
for a term of two years, beginning August 1, 1983 and ending
July 31, 1985; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT P.ESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Housing Rehabilitation Review Board, be,
and the same is hereby established, to be composed of five
(5) members, all of whom must be citizens of Paris and whose
term shall be for two (2) years, and said Board Must have
ir_cluded among its membership at least one member from each
target area wherein such Board is exercising its authority.
2. That the appointments of Foster Stone, as
Garrett-Grove Target Area member; Albert Ware, as Provine
West Target Area member; Thurman Reece, as Walker Target
Area member; Betty Kildahl and Rachael Braswell, as Members
at Large, of the Housing Rehabilitation Review Board, for a
term of two (2) years, beginning August 1, 1983 and ending
July 31, 1985, are by the City Council of the City ot Paris
hereby approved and confirmed.
