83-053 RES COP DID ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR FURNISHING LABOR AND MATERIALS FOR RE-ROOFING OF PARIS CITY HALL AND CENTRAL FIRE STATION BUILDINGRESOLUTION N0. 83-053
WHEREAS, the City of Paris, did advertise for bids tor
furnishing labor and materials for the re-roofing of Paris
City Hall and Central Fire Station building, which bids were
received until 10:00 o`clock A.M., Wednesday, July 6, 1983;
and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction was made by
Weehunt Roofing Company, 232 Hickory Street, Paris, Texas,
and they should be awarded the bid for such construction;
and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction
project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such forn
should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the Bid of Weehunt Roofing Company, for the
furnishing of labor and materials for the re-roofing of
Paris City Hall and Central Fire Station in the amount of
$20,207.95, is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon
said contractor meeting all of the terms and specifications
included in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the rlayor of the City of
Paris, Joe Graham, be, and is hereby authorized and directed
to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contract for
the re-roofing of Paris City Hall and Central Fire Station,
upon the terrns and conditions and in the form shown in
Exhibit A attached hereto, with 4,Teehunt Roofing Company.

WITNESSETH: That for and in consideration of the payments and
agreements hereinaiter mentioned, I'arty of the Second Part (CONTRACTOR)
hereby agrees with Party of the First F'art (OWNTR) to commence and com-
plete tile construction of certain improveinents clescribed as follows:
furnishing labor and materials to remove old roof and install new
built un roof and flashing on the City Hall and Central Fire Station
building as per specifications.
and all extra work in connection therewith, under the terms as stated in
the General Conditions of the Agreement and at his (or their) awn proper
cost and expense to furnish all the maCerials, supplies, machinery, equip-
ment, tools, superintendence, labor, instirance and otller accessories and
services necessary to complete the said coilstruction, in accordance with
the conditions and prices stated in the Proposal attaciiecl hereto, and in
accordance with the Notice to Contractors, General and Special Conditions
of Agreement, Plans and other drawings and printed or wr. itten explanatory
rnatter thereof, and the Specifications and addenda therefor, as prepared
by ,
}lerein entitled the ENGINELIZ, eacli ot- which hms bcen identified by the
CONTRACTOR and ENGINEER, together witli CONTIZACTOR'S written
Proposal and the General Conditions of the Agr.eemeilt hereto attached,
all of which are made a part hereof and collectively evidence and consti-
tute the entire contract.
The CONTRACTOR hereby agrees to commence work within ten (10)
days after the date written notice to do so shall have been given to him,
and to substantially complete the same within 60 calendar working
days after the date of the written notice to commence work, subject to
such extensions of time as are provided by the General and Special
Conditions.
The OWNEK agrees to pay the CONTRACTOR in current funds the
price or prices shown in the proposal, which forms a part of this con-
tract, such payments to be subject to the General and Special Conditions
of the contract.
IN WITNESS WI-1EREOT, the parties ro rhese presents have executed
this Agreement in the yea.r and d~1y first above written.
