83-059 RES COP HAS OBLIGATION TO CLOSE EXISTING SOLID WASTE LANDFILLRESOLUTIOPI PdO. 83-059
WHEREaS, the City of Paris has an obligation to close
its existing Solid Waste Landfill in accordance with Texas
Department ot Health Regulations; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris has made application with
the Bureau of Solid Waste Management, Texas Department of
Health for a Permit to construct and operate a Solid Waste
Transfer Station; and,
LIHEREAS, as part af the Solid Waste '1'ransfer Station
Permit Application, the City must pass a Resolution giving
evidence of financial responsibility, and assure that Solid
Waste N'acilities will be developed and operated in accor-
dance with the Texas Department of Health Regulations; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council will on the 13th day of
September, 1983 finally adopt a Budget for the City's
1983/1984 Fiscal Year which provides a sound financial plan
and sutticient resources for the proper operation of the
City's current and proposed Solid Waste Facilities; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE C1TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the City Council ot the City of Paris be and it
is hereby committed to comply with the financial, admini-
strative and operational responsibilities as detailed in the
City's Permit Application for a Solid Waste Transfer Station.
