83-069 RES CITY COUNCIL DID ACCEPT RESIGNATION OF WALTER WILLIAMS AS COUNCILMAN OF WARD TWORESOLUTION N0. 83-069
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
accept the resignation of Walter Williams as Councilman of
Ward Two (2) a.nd member of the City Council of the City of
Paris on the 12th day of September, 1983; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority under
Section 20 of the Charter of the City of Paris to select a
person to fill said vacancy; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of
the City of Paris that said seat be filled; and,
WHEREAS, A. L. Ware has been nominated and he is found
to possess all the qualifications prescribed in Section 17
of the Charter of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS; that the appointment of A. L. Ware, to serve as
Councilman fror.l Ward Two (2) and as a member of the City
Council of the City of Paris, to serve the unexpired terr.i of
Walter Williams, which ends April 11, 1984, is by the City
Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and confirmed.
