RESOLUTION NO. 2101 . <br />WHEREAS, Section 7-3 of the Code of Ordinances of the City <br />of Paris, Paris, Texas, created the Committee of Architectural <br />Preservation of the Central Business District of the City of Paris, <br />to consist of seven (7) members as follows: A member of the <br />Downtown Development Association, a member of the Visitors and <br />Convention Counc.il of the Paris and Lama r County Chamber of <br />Commerce; a practicing architect who is a member of the A. I. A. <br />(American Institute of Architects); a member with nursery or land- <br />scape interest; a member of the Lamar County Histor.ical Commission; <br />and two (2) members who are citizens of Lamar County; the initial <br />board to consist of four (4) members appointed for two year terms <br />and three (3) members appointed for a one year term, and thereafter <br />all appointments to be for two year terms; and, <br />WHEREAS, the terms of Barbara Wilson as a member of the <br />Downtown Development Association, Mike Malone as a member of the <br />Visitors and Convention Council of the Paris and Lamar County <br />Chamber of Commerce, Bill Lightfoot, a practicing architect who is <br />a member of the A. I. A. (American Institute of Architects), and <br />Wynona Harrison as a member with nursery or landscape interest, <br />will expire on June 30, 1981, and the Mayor of the City of Paris, <br />Billy Joe Burnett, having appointed Barbara Wilson, as a member of <br />the Downtown Development Association; Joe Graham as a member <br />of the Visitors and Convention Council of the Paris and Lamar County <br />Chamber of Commerce; Bill Lightfoot, a practicing architect who is a <br />member of the A. I. A. (American Institute of Architects); and <br />Wynona Harrison as a member with nursery or landscape interest, <br />to serve on the Committee of Architectural Preservation of the <br />Central Business District of the City of Paris for a term of two (2) <br />years, beginning July l, 1981 and ending June 30, 1983, and has sub- <br />mitted the names of such persons to the City Council of the City of <br />Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the appointments of Barbara Wilson, as a member of <br />the Downtown Development Association; Joe Graham as a <br />memb er of the Visitors and Convention Council of the Paris and <br />Lamar County Chamber of Commerce; Bill Lightfoot, a practicing <br />architect who is a member of the A. I. A. (American Institute of <br />Architects); and Wynona Harrison, as a member with nursery or <br />landscape interest, on the Committee of Architectural Preservation <br />of the Central Business District oE the City of Paris, for a term of <br />two (2) years, beginning July 1, 1981 and ending June 30, 1983, be, <br />and the same are hereby approved and confirmed by the City Council <br />of the City of Paris. <br />Passed and adopted this 8th day of June, 1981. <br />Billy urnett, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />H.
