2108 RES CITY COUNCIL IN RES NO 1876 ESTABLISH PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD TO CONSIST OF 9 MEMBERSRESOLUTION NO. 2108 ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in
Resolution No. 1876 establish the Parks and Recreation Board to
consist of nine (9) members, with staggered initial appointments as
fDllows: Three (3) members for one year terms, three (3) mem-
bers for two year terms and three (3) members for three year
terms, and thereafter all appointments to be for three year terms
with partially completed terms being filled for the remainder of
said terms; and,
WHEREAS, David Thomas has resigned as a member of the
Parks and Recreation Board, and the terms of office of Julann Boatner,
Mickey Flippen and A. R. Martin, as members of said Board, will
expire on June 30, 1981, and the Mayor of the City of Paris,
Bflly Joe Burnett, having appointed Susie Da.apree to serve the unex-
pired term of David Thomas, which ends June 30, 1982, and having
appointed Loren Stephens and re-appointed Mickey Flippen and
A. R. Martin for a term of three (3) years, beginning July l, 1981
and ending June 30, 1984, and has submitted the names of such
persons to the City Council of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the appointment of Susie Deupree, to serve the unexpired
term of David Thomas, which ends June 30, 1982, and the appointment
of Loren Stephens and the re-appointments of Mickey Flippen and
A. R. Martin for a term of three (3) years, beginning July 1, 1981
and ending June 30, 1984, as members of the Parks and Recreation
Board, are by the Cfty Council of the City of Paris hereby approved
and confirmed.
