2127 RES LONE STAR GAS CO ON OCTOBER 29 1981 FILE A STATEMENT OF INTENTRESOLliTION N0. 2127
WHEREAS, Lone Star Gas Company did, on October 29, 1981,
file a Statement of Intent to Change Residential and Com-
mercial Rates for gas service within the City of Paris, to
become effective December 4, 1981; and,
WHEREAS, after having reviewed the proposed rate
schedule and having received information from Lone Star Gas
Company, it is the opinion of the City Council of the City
of Paris, that such schedule of rates should be suspended
for a period of 120 days from December 4, 1981, for study,
investigation, receipt of evidence and public hearing be-
fore the City Council of the City of Paris at its next
regular meeting; and,
WHLREAS, a copy of this resolution has been provided
Lane Star Gas Company prior to its consideration by the City
Council of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That a public hearing, be, and the same is hereby
set for 7:00 P. M., on the 14th day of December, 1981, in
the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, for the purpose
of receiving any and all information germane to Lone Star
Gas Company's request for rate increases, filed in the form
of a schedule of rates with the City of Paris on the 29th
day of October, 1931; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 43(d)
of the Public Utility Regulatory Act, that the operation of
the Lone Star Gas Company's proposed rate schedules filed
with the City of Paris, Paris, Texas on the 29th day of
October, 1981, be, and the same is hereby suspended for
a period of 120 days for further study, investigation, re-
ceipt of evidence and public hearing.
