2132 RES CITY COUNCIL AT REGULAR MEETING ON 14TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 1981 APPROVE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION N0. 2132
4dHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did,
at its regular meeting on the 14th day of September, 1981,
approve the advertisement for bids for the sale of three
(3) tracts of property described as Tract I, Tract II, and
Tract III on Exhibit A attached hereto, which bids were
received until 10:00 0'clock A. M., Wednesday, December 9,
1981; and,
WHEREAS, the highest bid by responsible bidder for
Tract I was Cattlemen's Livestock Commission, Inc., in
the amount of $5,100.00; for Tract II was George Preston
in the amount of $7,600.00; and for Tract III was Robert
A. McDougal in the amount of $600.00; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL QF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the bid of Cattlemen's Livestock Commission,
Inc., in the amount of $5,100.00 for Tract I; of George
Preston in the amount of $7,600.00 for Tract II; and of
Robert A. McDougal in the amount of $600.00 for Tract III,
are hereby accepted and let; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City
of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, be, and he is hereby author-
ized and directed to execute deeds on behalf of the City
of Paris to convey, surface only, the several tracts to
the above listed successful bidders, with the City of
Paris retaining all minerals.

ceive bids for the sale of three separate tracts of property
hereinafter referred to as Tract I, Tract 2, and Tract 3 in
the Council Roam, City Hall, Paris, Lamar County, Texas, at
10:00 o'clock A. M., on the 9th day of December, 19$1, and
said bids will be rabulated and presented to the City Cauncil
at its regular meeting to be held at City Hall, in the City
Council Room, Paris, Lamar Courltq, Texas, at 7;00 o'clock
P. M., on the 14th day of December, 1981, for award, and which
tracts of land are described as follows:
TR.ACT l: A tract of land 1_ocated in the City of
Paris, County of Lamar, State of Texas, bei.ng part of
Lot 2, City Block 281, and alsa being a part of the
Reddin Russell Survey, and being a part of a 16,$ acre
tract, described in a deed to the City of Paris by
E. W. Lovell and Anne Lovell, his wi.fe, said deed in
Volume 238, Fage 621. in the Lamar County Ueed Records,
further described by Richard Badd, Registered Public
Surveyor No. 2690:
BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of said Lot 2
in said Block 281, said corner being the Nartheast

69.6 feet to a metal fence past, the true point of beginning
of the tract herein described;

Street, 50.9 feet to the stump of Bois Darc post with an
iron pin in the center;
THENCE South I Deg. 16 Min, taest 66.4 feet to a
Bois Darc post;

That the above described tracts will be sold to the highest
responsible bidder for cash, payable upon delivery of general
warranty deed and title policy. That a11 bids shall. be made in
writing and must be filed with the City Clerk, H. C. Greene, by
10:00 o'cZock A. M,, December 9th, 1981.
Bids shall be accompanied by cash, certified or cashiers
check upon a National or State bank in an amount not less than ten
percent (10%) of the total maximum bid price,payable without re-
course to the City of Paris, Texas, as a guarantee that bidder
will enter into a contract within ten (10) days after notice of
award of contract to him.
The City of Paris reserves the right to reject any and all
bids submitted for the purchase of said tracts of land.
