RESOLUTION NO';' 2140 4 A RESOLUTION ORDERING AN ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE FIRST SATURDAY IN APRIL, 1982, SAME BEING THE 3RD DAY OF APRIL, 1982, BETW'EEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 0'CLOCK A. M. AND 7:00 0'CLOCK P. M., BY THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF WARDS 1, 2, 3 AND 6 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING THE COUNCILMEN FROM EACH OF SAID WARDS TO SERVE AS MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE ENSUING TWO YEARS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That an election be held by the qualified voters of Wards l, 2, 3 and 6 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the first Saturday in April, 1982, same being the 3rd day of April, 1982, between the hours of 7:00 o'clock A. M. and 7:00 o'clock P. M., for the purpose of electing four (4) members of the City Council of the City of Paris, as follows: One Councilman From Ward One (1) One Councilman From Ward 'I~ao (2) One Councilman From Ward Three (3) One Councilman From Ward Six (6) as provided in Paragraphs 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 of Order entered Pfarch 15, 1976, in Civil Action No. P-75-3-CA, In the District Court of the United States for the Eastern District of Texas, Paris Division, and as provided in the Charter of the City of Paris and the laws of the State of Texas wherein they do not conflict with said Order. Section Z, That the polling places and election officials of such election shall be as follows: Ward One (1) : Polling Place: T. G. Givens School 655 Blake Road Officials: Ralph Rodgers , Presiding Judge Clabon Steward Alternate Presiding Judge Ward Two (2): Polling Place: Lamar County Electric Co-op Assoeiation Building 1485 North Main Street Officials: John Q. Simpson , Presiding Judge Veola Bradford , Alternate Presiding Judge Ward Three (3): Polling Place: Thomas S. Justiss School 401 18th Street, N. W. Officials: Hannah Shaeffer , Presiding Judge Evelyn Norris , Alternate Presiding Judge
