2154 RES CITY COUNCIL ENTER INTO LEASE NO DTFA07-81-L-01106RESOLUTION N0. 2154 ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore enter into Lease No, DTFA07-81-L-01106 on the
llth day of May, 1981 with the United States of America,
represented by the Federal Aviation Administration; and,
WHEREAS, the United States has a requirement for a land
site upon which to install, operate and maintain a 4-box
Visual Approach Slope Indicator for Runway 35-Cox Field,
Paris, Texas, in accordance with Drawing No, SW-D-9882-1A
upon the terms and conditions stated in Supplemental
Agreement No. 1, attached hereto as Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the
City of Paris that such Supplemental Agreement be approved
and entered into; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett,
be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City of Paris, the Supplemental Agreement No.
1 to Lease No. DTFA07-81-L-01106 in the form attached hereto
as Exhibit A.

SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT N0. 1
THIS SUPPLPMENTAL AGREEMEPIT, made and entered into this $th day of
MarCh , 1982, by and between the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,
represented by the P'ederal Aviation Administration, hereinafter referred to as
the Government, and the CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, hereinafter referred to as Lessor,
whose address is Post Office Box 1037, Paris, Texas, 75460, WITTIESSETH, That:
WHEREAS, on the llth day of May, 1981, the parties hereto entered into Lease
No. DTFA07-81-L-01106 for the purpose and consideration therein stated; and
WHEREAS, the Government has a requirement for land sites upon which to
install, operate, and maintain a 4-box Visuai Approach Slope Indicator (VASI),
Runway 35, Cox Field, I'aris, Texas, in accordance with Drawing No. SW-D-98$2-lA
and restrictions thercon, sai.d drawing attached hereto and made a part hereof.
Restrictions are:
VASI OI3STRUCTION CT,EAR AREA;
Sponsor shall agree to clear and maintain the approach
area as defined by:
1. A vertical angle of 1.5° starting at the downwind
bar and extending outward for 6 miles;
2. A horizontal angle of 10° either side of the
extended runway centerline, measured from the
downwind bar starting at the runway centerline
and extending outward from the threshold for
6 miles; see above referenced drawing for more
detail ori Items 1 and 2; and
WHEREAS, the Government h<zs a requirement to utilize two existing ducts
under Taxiway A on Cox Field as shown on above referenced drawi.ng; and
WHEREAS, the parties fiereto find it is to their mutual benefit and
advantage to amend the basir_ lease for the purposes stated above.

Supplemental Agreement No. 1
to Lease No. DTFA07-81-L-01106

NOW, THEREFORE, effective March 1, 1982, the parties hereto agree to amend
said lease in the following particulars only, viz.:
A. Lessor grants the Uovernment land sites and the right to install,
operate and maintain a Visual Approacii Slope Indicator (VASI) on Runway 35,
Cox Field, Paris, Texas, in accordance with Drawing No. SW-D-9882-1A and
restrictions thereon, said drawzng attached hereto and made a part hereof.
Restrictions are:
VASI OBSTRUCrION CLEAR AREA
Lessor agrees to clear and maintain the approach area as
defined by:
1. A vertical angle of 1,5° starting at the downwind bar
and extending outward for 6 miles;
2. A horizontal angle of 10° either side of the extended
runway centerline, measured from the downwind bar
starting at the rutzway centerline and extending
outward frorn the thresfiold for 6 miles,
Items 1 and 2 more particularly shown on above referenced
drawing.
B. Lessor grants the Government the right to utilize two existing ducts
under Taxiway A on Cox I'ielcl as more particularly shown on above referenced
drawing.
ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS of the basic lease are hereby ratified and
except as amended herein sha11 be and remain the same.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunto subscribed their names
