2157 RES TERM OF OFFICE FOR W R PHILLIPS M D AS CITY HEALTH OFFICER EXPIRED ON DECEMBER 31 1981RESOLUTION N0. 2157
WHEREAS, the term of office of W. R. Phillips, M.D.,
as City Health Officer, did expire on December 31, 1981
and his successor has not been appointed; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary and appropriate that the
City Council of the City of Paris act under the authority
granted in Article 4425, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, and
appoint a City Health Officer; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris recommends the
appointment of Russell Burns, M.D. as City Health Officer
for a two-year term, beginning January l, 1982; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that Russell Burns, M.D., be, and he is hereby
appointed to the office of City Health Officer to serve
from January l, 1982 through December 31, 1983.
