2159 RES CITY COUNCIL AT REGULAR MEETING ON 12TH DAY OF APRIL 1982 APPROVE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION N0. 2159
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at
its regular Meeting on the 12th day of April, 1982 approve
the advertisement for bids for the clearinb and hauling of
tornado debris from the designated disaster area of the City
of Paris, which bids were received until 1:00 0'clock P.M.,
Wednesday, April 14, 1982; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such debris cleanup project
was made by J. R. Ramon & Sons, Inc., 2607 S. Zarzamora
Street, San Antonio, Texas 78207, witiz local office in
Room No, 130, Ramada Inn, Paris, Texas 75460, and it should
be awarded the contract for such project; and,
WdEREAS, the form of contract for such construction
project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form
should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the bid of J. R. Ramon & Sons, Inc., for the
Paris Tornado Debris Cleanup Project 1982, which includes
the clearing and hauling of tornado debris and burying the
same at the Paris Landfill within sixty (60) consecutive
calendar days at the Unit price per Cubic Yard of $1.73 is
hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon said contractor
meeting all of the terms and specifications included in
the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTiiEP. RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, be, and he is hereby authorized
and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris th.e
contract for the accor.lplishment of said project, upon the
terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A
attached hereto with J. R. Ramon & Sons, Inc.
