2188 RES CITY COUNCIL HAS UNDERTAKEN PROJECT OF CONTRUCTION ENTITLED PHASE I BIG SANDY CREEK DRAINAGE PROJECTRESOLUTION N0. 218$
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has
undertaken a project of construction entitled PHASE I,
BIG SANDY CREEK DRAINAGE PROJECT, which begins on said
creek approximately 2,000 feet East of Loop 286 on
property belonging to Joe P. Cobb and Tom Cobb, Jr.,
thence with the meanders of said creek in a Northwest-
erly direction and then in a Westerly direction to the
intersection of 24th Street S. E. with two sub-channels
going in aNortherly direction from Big Sandy Creek to
the intersection of Texas and Pacific Railroad right-of-
way, in accordance with plans and specifications prepared
by LAN and Associates Engineering which project is to be
directed by Rick Conner, City Engineer, as an in-house
project; and,
WHEREAS, the easement descriptions necessary for the
completion of said drainage project are shown on Exhibit A
attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the above
described drainage easements are necessary for said
improvement project and that the same should be condemned;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, be, and he
is hereby authorized and directed to proceed to condemn
the above described property to be used for Phase I,
Big Sandy Creek Drainage Project.
