2197 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS SPECIAL MEETING ON 19TH DAY OF JULY 1982 APPROVE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION N0. 2197
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did
at its special meeting on the 19th day of July, 1982, approve
the advertisement for bids f or furnishing all plant, labor,
material and equipment and performing all work required for
the construction of 46.29 cubic yards of retaining wa11;
604 square yards of concrete channel liner; and 1,314 square
feet of 4 inch thick reinforced concrete driveway along
Buttermilk Creek, Paris, Texas, entitled Buttermilk Creek
Drainage Project, Phase III, which bids were received until
10:00 o'clock A.M., Thursday, August 5, 1982; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction project was
made by B& B Equipment Coripany, P 0 Box 517, Paris, Texas
75460, and it should be awarded the contract for such
construction; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract for such constructio~n
project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form
should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that the bid of B& B Equipment Company, for the Buttermilk
Creek Drainage Project, Phase III, in the amount of $42,063.70
is heYeby accented and Iet, conditioned upon said contractcr
r:ieeting all of the terms and s»ecifications included in the
bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Joe Graham, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the
contract for the Buttermilk Creek Drainage Project, Phase III,
upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit
A attached hereto with B& B Equipment Company.
