2198 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS SPECIAL MEETING ON 19TH DAY OF JULY 1982 APPROVE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION N0. 219$
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris,
did at i,ts special meeting on the 19th day of July , 1982,
approve the advertisement for bids for furnishing all plant,
labor, material and equipment and performing all work re-
quired for the construction of 1,339 square yards of concrete
challel liner; 26 linear feet of curb and gutter; 44 square
yards of asphalt pavement; 195 feet of 8" ductile iron pipe
as gravity sewer replacement furnished and laid; and two (2)
concrete manholes along Buttermilk Creek, Paris, Texas entitled
Buttermilk Creek Drainage Project, Phase IV, which bids were
received until 10:00 o'clock A.M., Thursday, August 5, 1982;
an d ,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction project was
made by B& B Equipment Company, P 0 Box 517, Paris, Texas
75460, and it should be awarded the contract for such con-
struction; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction
project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form
should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY TIiE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that the bid of B& B Equipment Company, for the Buttermilk
Creek Drainage Project, Phase IV, in the amount of $45,020.00
is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon said contractor
meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the
bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Joe Graham, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed
to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the contact for
the Buttermilk Creek Drainage Project, Phase IV, upon the
terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A
attached hereto with B& B Equipment Company.
