2082 RES CITY COUNCIL AT SPECIAL MEETING ON 29TH DAY OF DECEMBER 1980 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION N0, 2082
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City o£ Paris, did
at- its special meeting on the 29th day of December, 1980,
approve the advertisernent f_or bids for painting and repair
of a 500,000 gallon elevated water storage tank, which bids
were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M., Wednesday, February
4, 1981; aYid,
WHEKEAS, the best bid tor such construction project
was made by Curtis Lolley, d/b/a Hercules Tank & Iron Works,
P. 0. Box 166, Butler, Alabama, 36904, and it should be
awarded the contr.act for suc:h const.ruction; and,
WI-IEREAS, the farm of cantract for such construction
project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form
should be approved; NQW, THEREFORE,
BE IT P,BSOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid af Curtis Lolley, d/b/a Hercules Tank
& Iron Works, for painting and repair of the 500,000 gal.lon
elevated water storage tank, within 130 consecuti_ve cal-
endar ciays, in the ar.zount of $58,500,00, is hereby accepted
and let, conditioned upon said contractor meetir.g all of
the terms and specifications included in the bid docurrients;
and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Michael E. Tialone, be, an.d he is hereby authorized
and directed to execute o-ii behalf of the Ci.ty of Paxis the
contr.act for painting arld repair of the 500,400 gallon ele-
vated watex storage tank, upon the terms and conditions
a.nd in the form shown in Exhibit A attaclzed he.reto, with
Curtis La1_ley, d/b/a rlercules Tank & Iron 14orks.
