2084 RES CITY COUNCIL IN RES NO 1876 ESTABLISH PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD TO CONSIST OF 9 MEMBERSR ESOLUT [ON NO. 2084 ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of I'aris did in
Resolution No. 1876 establish the Parks and Recreation Board to
consist af nine (9) rnembers, with staggered inirial a.ppointments
as follows: Thr.ee (3) members for one year terms, three (3)
members Eor two yTear terms and rhree (3) members for three
year terms, and the.reafter a11 appointments to be for three year
terms with partially completed tel-ms being filled Eor the re-
mainder of said terms; and,
WHEKEAS, there exists a vacancy on ttie mcinbership of the
Parks and Recreation Board due to r.he resigrlation of Robert High,
and the Mayar of the City of Paris, 1Vlichael E. Malone, having
appointed A. R. Martin, to serve the unexpired ter. m of Robert
1-iigh, which ends June 30, 1981, and has submitted the name af
such person to the City Council of the C'ity of Paris; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED F3Y T1--iF CITY GOLINCIL OT THE CITY
UF PARIS, 7'hat the appointment of A. R. Martin, as a member
of the 1'arks anci Recreation I3oarc.j, to serve the t.inexpired term
