2049 RES CITY COUNCIL ON 14TH DAY OF JULY 1980 PASSED RES NO 2040RESOLUTION NO. 2049 .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretoEore
on the 14th day of July, 1980, pass Resolution No. 2040 letting a bid
for construction of 498 linear feet of 6' high chain link fence at
Record Park and 505 linear feet of 6' high chain link fence at
Johnson Park to Cyclone Fence Sales, Division oE United States Steel
Corporation; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that said Company's bid
did not meet the bid specifications; and,
WHEREAS, the bid of Joe Pridemore Fence Company, Paris,
Texas, in the amount of $7, 789. 00, did meet such specifications,
and, therefore, is the best bid for such construction project, and it
should be awarded the contract for such construction; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction project
is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form should be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of Joe Pridemore, d/b/a Joe Pridemore Fence
Company, for the above described fence project, in the amount of
$7, 789. 00, is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon said con-
tractor meeting all oE the terms and specifications included in the
bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby authorfzed and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contract for
the above described fence construction, upon the terms and condi-
tions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto with
Joe Pridemore, d/b/a Joe Pridemore Fence Company.
