2048 RES ORD NO 873 PASSED BY CITY COUNCIL ON OCTOBER 29, 1929 PROVIDED FOR APPOINTMENT OF BAND COMMISSION BY MAYOR OF COPRESOLUTION NO. 2048
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 873, passed by the City Council
of the City of Paris, on October 29, 1929, provided for the ap-
pointment of a Band Commission by the Mayor of the City of
Paris, to be confirmed by the City Council of the City of Paris;
said Band Commission to be ccmposed of three (3) members; and,
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of
said Band Commission due to the death of Mrs. Herbert Turner;
and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, Michael E.
Malone has appointed Cecil Mackin, as a member of said
Band Commission, to serve the unexpired term of Mrs. Herbert
Turner, which ends June 30, 1981, and has submitted the name
of such person to the City Council of the City of Paris; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, That the appointment of Cecil Mackin, as a member
of the Band Commission, to serve the unexpired term of
Mrs. Herbert Turner, which ends June 30, 1981, is by the
City Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and con-
firmed.
