2045 RES LAMAR COUNTY HOUSING FINANCE CORP CREATED "TX HOUSING FINANCE CORPORATIONS ACT"RESOLUTTOrI N0. 2045
WHEREAS, the Lamar County Housing Finance Corporation,
a non-profit corporation created under and nursuant to the
"Texas Housing Finance Corporations Act," has been organ-
ized with the approval and consent of Lamar County, Texas,
to provide a means of financing the costs of residential
ownership ard development that will provide decent, safe,
and sanitary housing for the residents of Lamar County,
Texas, at affordable prices; and,
WHEREAS, the saicl Corporation plans to nrovide finan-
cial assistance with respect to thepurchase, improvement,
and construction of homes located within the City of Paris,
Texas, if approval thereof required by the aforesaid Act
is given by the City Council; and,
WkIEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines
that it would be in the best interest of the City and its
inhabitants for said Corporation to vrovide financial assist-
ance with respect to homes located within the corporate limits
of the City; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section l. That anproval is hereby given and granted
to the Lamar County Housing Finance Corporation to provide
financial assistance with respect to purchasing, improving
and constructing homes located within the corDorate limits
of the City of Paris, Texas.
Section 2. Nothing herein shall be construed to be
a waiver of any building code requirements or standards pre-
scribed for homes located within the City in cor.nection with
the approval herein granted to said Corporation.
