2040 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS REGULAR MEETING ON 9TH DAY OF JUNE 1980 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLTUIQ~3 ?~IO. 2040
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at
its regular meeting on the 9th day of JunA, 1980 approve the
advertisement for bids for construction of 498 linear feet
of 6' hiah chain link fence at Record Park and 505 linear
feet of 6' high chain link fence at Johmson Park, which bids
were received unti1 10:00 o'clock A. M., Wednesday, July 9,
1980; an d,
T,nTHEREAS, the best bid for such construction project was
made by Cyclon.e Fence Sales, Uivision of United States Steel
CorDoration, P. 0. Box 478, Dallas, Texas 75221, and it
should be awarded contract for such construction; and,
WHEREA_S, the form of contract for such construction
project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, ar,d such form should
be approved; NOW, THEREFO?LE,
BF IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the bid of Cyclone Fence Sales, Division of United States
Steel Corporation, for the above described fence project in
the aanount of $6,439.26 is hereby accepted and let, conditioned
upon saic: contractor meetir.g all of t'Lie terms and specifications
included in the bid documexa.ts; and,
BE IT FL°RTF-ER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of Paris,
Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed
to execute on behalf of the Citv of Paris the contract for
a'bove described fence construction, upon the terms and con-
d.itions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto with
Cyclone Fence Sales, Division of United States Steel Corporation.
