2014 RES CITY COUNCIL IN RES NO 1915 AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED EXECUTION OF LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN COP AND JAMES M WRENN JRRESOLUTION NOo 2014 ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore
in Resolution No, 1915 authorize and direct the execution of a lease
agreement between the City of Paris, Lesso~ and James M. Wrenn; Jr. ,
Lessee, upon the terms and conditions included therein; and,
WHEREAS, due to circumstances beyond the City of Paris' con-
trol said Lessee was not given complete possession of the leased
premises as anticipated, and it would be right and proper for the
term of said lease to be extended to compensate for such failure; and,
WHEREAS, Addendum No, l, as shown in Exhibit A attached
hereto, would accomplish that purpose; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the City Manager of the City of Paris, Robert W.
Sokoll, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City of Paris, Addendum No. 1 to Lease Agreement,
beginning January l, 1979 and ending December 31, 1988, between
the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, Lessor, and James M. Wrenn, Jr. ,
Lessee, upon the terms and cond.itions and in the form shown in
Exhibit A attached hereto,

ADDENDUM NOo 1 TO LEASE AGREEMENT
BEGINNING JANUARY l, 1979 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1988)
BETWEEN THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, LESSOR,
AND JAMES M. WRENN, JR., LESSEE

Th.is addendum to Lease Agreement made this lOth day of
March, 1980, by and between the CITY OF PARIS, Paris, Texas,
Lessor, acting by and through its City Manager, Robert W. Sokoll,
duly authorized, and JAMES M. WRENN, JR., Lessee, do hereby
contract and agree as follows:
It is hereby mutually agreed by and between the
CITY OF PARIS, Paris, Texas, Lessor, and JAMES M.
WRENN, JR., Lessee, that the term of the above de--
scr.ibed lease as stated in the third unnumbered paragraph
of said lease shall be extended so that the ending date of
said lease shall be the 28th day of February, 1990.
It .is further agreed that the final phrase of
Paragraph 19 of the above descr.ibed lease be changed
to read as follows: "each of the above options may be
exerc.ised by Lessee's giving not.ice in writing of
Lessee's intention to renew said lease on or before
the 1st day of September, 1989 for the first opt.ion and
on or before the lst day of September, 1994 for the
second option. "
The consideration for th.is addendum is Lessor's failure to
deliver full possession of the property described .in said lease for
an extended period of fourteen (14) months.
