2005 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS REGULAR MEETING ON 12TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 1979 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION N0, 2005
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at its
regular meeting on the 12th day of November, 1979 approve the
advertisement for bids for furnishing all plant, labor,
material and equipment, and performing all work required for
the construction of approximately 870 linear feet of concrete
lined drainage channel, 82.34 cubic yards of structural con-
crete and miscellaneous construction items on a branch of Big
Sandy Creek, East of 34th Street, N. E. between Lamar Avenue
and Pine Mill Road entitled 34th STREET N. E. DR.AINAGE PROJECT,
PHASE I, which bids were received until 10:00 o'clock A.M.,
Wednesday, January 9, 1980; and,
[aHEREAS, the best bid for such construction project was
made by Wise Sullivan Construction Company, Inc., P. 0. Box 381,
Durant, Oklahoma 74701, and it should be awarded the contract for
such construction; and,
WHEREAS, the form of con~ract for such construction project
is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form should be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the bid of Wise Sullivan Construction Company, Inc, for the
34th Street, N. E. Drainage Project, Phase I in the amount of
$94,415.90, is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon said conT
tractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in
the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of Paris,
Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed
to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contract for the
34th Street, N. E. Drainage Project, Phase I, upon the terms and
conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto,
with Wise Sullivan Construction Company, Inc,
Passed and adopted this 14th day of January, 1980.
