1903 RES CITY COUNCIL HAS UNDERTAKEN PROJECT OF CONSTRUCTION OF 39 FOOT PAVED STREETRESOLUTION N0, 1903 .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Clty of Paris has undertaken a project
of construction of a 39 Foot paved street, measured from back to back of
concrete curb with related facilities, utilities and other appurtenances on
Blake Road from East edge of pavement in Fitzhugh Avenue (9th Street, N.E.)
approximately 3500 feet Easterly to West edge of pavement in 2~th Street,
N. E.; and,
WHEREAS, the right-of-way hereinafter described in three (3) parcels, with
owners shown immediately after each, is necessary for such street project; ~aid
parcels being as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Lamar
County, Texas, a part of the Redding Russell Survey, and being a
part of Lot 1, City Block 270, which was described in deed from
Robert Glass and Joe B. Collins to R. Henry Price and wife, Minnie
Bess Price, dated July 6, 1966, recorded Book 445, Page 158, Deed
Records, Lamar County, Texas, and being more particularly described
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the North Boundary Line of Blake Road; said
point being at its intersection with the East Boundary Line of Fitzhugh
Avenue;
THENCE North 5 feet to a point for a corner;
THENCE North 88 Deg. 22 Min. East 33 feet to a point for a corner;
THENCE South 5 feet to a point for a corner; said point being in the
North Boundary Line of Blake Road;
THENCE South 88 Deg. 22 Min. West along the North Boundary Line of
Blake Road 33 feet to the place of beginning and containing 165 Sq.
Ft. or .0038 acres.
and is owned by R. Henry Price and wife, P~innie Bess Price,and has been sold
to Mack Jones on a Contract of Sale;
Situated within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Lamar County,
Texas, a part of the I. Uavis Survey, and being a part of Lot 14, City
Block 174, which was described in deed from P~arvin ~ortham and Mabel
Wortham, a widow, of Potter County, Texas, and Ethel Jenkins and ~lalter
Wortham, to Frankie Wortham Lewis, recorded Book 540, Page 86~, Deed
Records, Lamar County, Texas, and being more particularly described
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point 16~ feet East of lOth Street N. E.; said point
also being the South Boundary Line of Blake Road;
THENCE North 88 Deg. 22 Min. East 60 feet to a point for a corner;

Situated within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Lamar County,
Texas, a part of the I. Davis Survey,and being a part of Lot 5, City
Block 174A, which was described in deed from Marvin Wortham and Mabel
Wortham, a widow, of Potter County, Texas, and Ethel Jenkins and Walter
Wortham, to Frankie Wortham Lewis, recorded Book 540, Page 863, Deed
Records, Lamar County, Texas, and being more particularly described as
follows:
BEGINNING at a point 178.9 feet East of llth Street N.E.; said point
also being the South Boundary Line of Blake Road;
THENCE South 88 Deg. 22 Min. East 89.5 feet along the South
Boundary Line of Blake Road to a point for a corner;
THENCE South 5 feet to a point for a corner;
THENCE North 88 Deg. 22 Min. West 89.5 feet to a point for a
corner;
THENCE North 5 feet to the point of beginning and containing 448 Sq.
Ft. or .0103 acres.
and is owned by Frankie Wortham Lewis;
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the above described parcels of
right-of-way are necessary for said improvement project and that the same
should be condemned; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the City
Attorney, T. K. Haynes, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to
proceed to condemn the above described property to be used for B7ake Road
improvement project from East edge of pavement in Fitzhugh Avenue (9th
Street N. E.) approximately 3500 feet Easterly to West edge of pavement in
20th Street N.E.
