1935 RES CITY COUNCIL IN RES NO 1853 AUTHORIZED APPLCIATIONFOR FUNDS FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROJECTSRESOLUTION N0. 1935 , WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did hereto- fore in Resolution No. 1853 authorize the application for funds for Community Development Block Grant projects; and, WHEREAS, a pre-application has been completed, and the City of Paris did in Resolution No. 1886 accept a grant for first year funding in the amount of $92, 806. 70; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris has been invited to make appli- cation for second year funding under said Community Development Block Grant Project No. B-79-DN-48-0076, in the amount of $657,193. 30, and it .is in the best interest of the City of Paris that said application be made; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, AS FOLLOWS: l. That the City Manager of the City of Paris, Robert W. Sokoll, be, and he is hereby au- thorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the application for second year funding under Community Development Block Grant Project No. B-79-DN-48-0076, in the amount of $657,193. 30, in the form attached hereto as E~ibit A. 2. That the City Manager, Robert W. Sokoll, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver on b~half of the City of Paris all other pre-applications, applications, communications, instruments, assurances and documents necessary for the completion of said project. 3. That Joe N. McCollum, Director of Community Development, is directed to continue to function as Project Director for Community Development Block Grant Projects. (b) Its governing body has du2y adopted or passed as an official act a reso- lution, motion or similar action authorizing the filing of the application, including all ur►3erstandings and assurances contained therein, and directing and authorizing the person identified as the official representative of the applicant to act in connection with the application and to provide such additional informa- tion as may be rew ired. (c) It has canplied with all the cequirements of OMB Circular No. A-95 as modified by 24 CFR 570.435 and that either: (1) Any cormients and recomrieridations made by or through clearinghauses are attached and have t,een considered prior to submission of the applicatian; or (2) The required procedures have been folloraed and no camients oc recamiencla- tions have been received. The applicant will be responsible for conducting inspections to insure canoliance with these specifications by the contractor.
