1978 RES CITY COUNCIL IN RES NO 1820 ESTABLISHED LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD TO CONSIST OF 7 MEMBERSRESOLUTION N0. 1978 ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in
Resolution No. 1820 establish the Library Advisory Board, to
consist of seven (7) resident citizens of the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the
City of Paris that such Board be expanded to nine (9) members,
with one of the expansion members being appointed n~ed for
year and one of the expansion members being appot
two years; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, Michael E,
Malone, has appointed Jerry Stephens for a term of two (2)
years and A. M. Aikin, Jr. for a term of one (1) year and
has submitted the names of such persons to the City Council
of the City of Paris for approval and confirmation; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, Zhat the Library Advisory Board, be, and the same
is hereby expanded to nine (9) members, with t~~ two expansion
members being appointed, one for one (1) year and one for
two (2) years; and thereafter said terms to be three (3) year
terms; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the appointment of
Jerry Stephens ~Or a term of two (2) years, ending June 30,
1981, and the appointment of. A. M. Aikin, Jr. for a term of
one (1) year, ending June 30, 1980, are by the City Council of
the City of Paris hereby approved and confirmed.
