1803 RES TX POWER & LIGHT CO FILED APPLICATION FOR INCREASE IN RATESRESOLUTION N0, 1803 .
WHEREAS, Texas Power & Light Company, on December 22,
1976, did file its application for increase in its rates; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did hereto-
fore in Resolution No. 1781 suspend the effective date of said re-
quested rate increase, so that the same would not go into effect on
January 26, 1977; and,
WHEREAS, having held public hearings with regard to such
rate request; and,
WHEREAS, being aware of the Public Utility Commission of
the State of Texas' decision this date, wherein it declared that
Texas Power & Light Company was entitled to a rate increase which
would generate $58, 242, 508. Ofl; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, AS FOLLOWS:
l, That Texas Power & Light Company is entitled to
a rate increase which will generate throughout its
system $58, 242, 508. 00 in increased revenue.
2. That the City Council of the City of Paris will
approve, when furnished, a rate schedule and
tariffs of Texas Power & Light Company that
will equitably place the burden of this rate in-
crease among the several classifications of users.
3, That such rate, when approved by ~he City of Paris,
will be effective immediately and be reflected on
bills rendered after May 31, 1977.
Passed and adopted this 25th day of April, 1977.
