1806 RES TX PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPT WILL ENTERTAIN APPLICATIONS FOR GRANTSRESOLUTION NOv 1806 ,
WHEREAS, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department of the
State of Texas will entertain applications for grants for additional
recreational facilities on a 50-50 basis; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous
of processing a grant application for parking improvements to serve
the Culbertson Park Tennis Courts, at a total project cost of
$6, 000. 00, $3, 000. 00 to be provided by grant aad $3, 000. 00 to be
provided by local funds and in kind services; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
l. That an application be made to the Texas Parks and
Wildlife Department for a grant in the amount of $3, 0~0. 00, being
one-half of the estimated costs of the Parking Improvements-
Culbertson Park Tennis Courts Project, with the City of Paris pro-
viding $3, 000. 00 in funds and in kind services.
2, That Kerry R. Sweatt, City Manager of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be and he is hereby authorized and directed, on behalf
of the City of Paris, to execute and file such application for grant
and assurances of compliance with all of the requirements for said
grant, to execute such contract or contracts as may be necessary
for the grant applied for, to provide such information and furnish
such documents as may be required by said Department, and to act
as the authorized correspondent and representative for the accom-
plishment of the project,
3. That Joe N. McCollum, Director of Community Development
of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby designated Project Director.
