1808 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS MEETING ON 9TH DAY OF MAY 1977 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION N0, 1808 . WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its Council Meeting on the 9th day of May, 1977, approve the advertise- ment for bids for Three (3) New I<ey Control Gas Pumps for the Purchasing Department, in accordance with detailed specifications, which bids were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M. , Wednesday, June 8, 1977; and, WHEREAS, the best bid for Three (3) New Key Control Gas Pumps was made by Roddy McCarrell, d/b/a Paris Pump Service, and he should be awarded the contract for the delivery and in- stallation of such pumps; and, WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish and install such pumps is attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the bid of Roddy McCarrell, d/b/a Paris Pump Service, to furnish and install Three (3) New Key Control Gas Pumps for the City of Paris Purchasing Department, in the amount of $6, 228. 98, is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and conditions included in the bid documents; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the City of Paris, Kerry R. Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized ~nd directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract with Roddy McCarrell, d/b/a Paris Pump Service, to furnish and install Three (3) New Key Control Gas Pumps for the City of Paris Purchasing Department, upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto. Sweatt, City Manager KEY CONTROL GAS PUl9P SPECIFICATIONS 1. Pumping Units A. Air Separators 1. The pumping units wi11 be not less than 14 qalZons per minute models. 2. The units wi11 be the vazle type pumpinq unit and integraZ cast aluminum air separator. B. Registers 1. The pumping units shall have non-computer interlock reading both the front and back of the pump. 2. There wi11 be not less than a 1,000 gallon delivery and nat less than a 1 million gallon totalizer. C. Meters 1. The meters shall be four piston positive displacement, exter- na1 accuracy adjustment or nutatinq disc meters with external adjustment. D. Motors 1. The motors shall be not Iess than 113 horsepower. 2. They shall be explosion-proof with a thermal overload protector. 3. There shall be a built-in switch on each unit. 4. The units wi11 have standard 120 voltaqe capability. E. Hose and Nozzle 1. The hose shall be not Iess than 314" in diameter and not Iess than 14' in length. 2. There wi1Z be one (1) standard automatic closing nozzZe; and two (2) no-lead automatic closing centers. G. A11 models shall have the underwriters approval and certification. II. Key Control Systems A. General 1. .The key control systems shall be mourited on and connect_ed to the pumping units. 2_ One pumpinq unit shall have a 20 key control mounted on the side of the unit. 3. The second pumping unit s12a1l have a 25 key control mounted on , the side of the unit. SPECIFICATIONS cont'd Page 2 4. The third unit shall have an 80 key contro.Z consoZe mounted on the top of the pumping unit. 5. Each key control slot shall have an individual totalizer. 6. The key control locks s1ia11 have two keys per lock that wiZZ be numbered consecutively_ B. In add_ztion to the warranty statement under item G bidder is to furnish body and equipment warranty for a twelve (12) month period. C. Demonstration of an identical unit may be required before award is made. D. Supplier is responsible for complete installation of and the City`s , acceptance of operation before payment will be made to them. 1. The Citr.~ of Paris reserves the right to specif_y destination and delivery. 2. Any destination transportation cost shall be net f.o.b., City of Paris Department of Public Works, 50 W. Bidders shall agree to hold a11 bid prices firm for a period of thirty (30) calendar days cornmencing from the date of the bid opening. 6. Bidders are advised of the City's riqht to waive inforrrtalities and the right to reject any and a1I bids and award Bid to bidder most advantageous to the City of Paris. 7. Bidders shall outline in the Bid Forms deviations from detailed specifications. 8.
