1813 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS REGULAR MEETING ON 13TH DAY OF JUNE 1977 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENTS FOR BIDSRESOLUTION N0. 1813 ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its
regular meeting on the 13th day of June, 1977, approve the adver -
tisement for bids for furnishing all plant, labor, material and
equipment, and performing all work required for the construction
of drainage improvements consisting of approximately 101 linear
feet of concrete drainage channel, with appurtenances, in accordance
with detailed plans and specifications, dated June 1977, which bids
were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M, , Wednesday, Ju1y 6, 1977;
and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction work was made
by Bi11 Haley, and he should be awarded the contract for such con-
struction work; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such construction
work is attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of Bill Haley, Paris, Texas, for construction
work, consisting of approximately 101 linear feet of concrete
drainage channel, with appurtenances, beginning in the 3000 Block of
Mahaffey Lane and extending Northerly 101 feet, within 55 calendar
days, in the amount of $4, 867. 50, is hereby accepted and let, con-
ditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and specifi-
cations included in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the
City of Paris, Kerry R. Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized a.nd
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract for
the above described work, upon the terms and conditions and in the
form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, with Bill Haley.
