1821 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS REGULAR MEETING ON 11TH DAY OF JULY 1977 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION N0. 1821 ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its
regular meeting on the 1 lth day of July, 1977, approve the adver -
tisement for bids for furnishing all plant, labor, materials and
equipment, and performing al1 work required for the construction
of street improvements, consisting of curb and gutter, street
intersection, flexible base, and hot mix wearing surface, complete
with appurtenances, located on West I<aufman Street, between 28th
S. W. and 29th S. W. , within the City of Paris, Texas, in accordance
with detailed plans and specifications, dated June 1977, which bids
were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M. , Wednesday, August 3,
1977; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction work w~s made
by Roy Williamson Construction Company, and it should be awarded
the contract for such construction work; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such construction
work is attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of Roy Williamson Construction Company,
Paris, Texas, for furnishing a11 plant, labor, materials and equip-
ment, and performing all work required for the construction of
street improvements, consisting of curb and gutter, street inter -
section, flexible base, and hot mix wearing surface, complete with
appurtenances, located on West I<aufman Street, between 28th S. W.
and 29th S. W. , within the City of Paris, Texas, within 70 calendar
days, in the amount of $7, 637. 22, is hereby accepted and let, con-
ditioned upon said contractor meeting al1 of the terms and specifi-
cations included in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the
City of Paris, I<erry R. Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract for
the above described work, upon the terms and conditions and in the
form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, with Roy Williamson
Construction Company.
