1824 RES CITY COUNCIL AT COUNCIL MEETING ON 11TH DAY OF JULY 1977 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION N0. 1824 ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at its
Council Meeting on the llth day of July, 1977, approve the adver-
tisement for bids for the furnishing and delivery of One (1) New
1977 Triple Combination 750 G. P. M. Fire Truck and Apparatus
for the Fire Department, in accordance with detailed specifications,
which bids were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M. , Wednesday,
September 7, 1977; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for fire apparatus was made by
Fire Protection Service Company, and it should be awarded the
contract for such apparatus; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such apparatus
is attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, That the bid of Fire Protection Service Company, to
furnish fire apparatus for the City of Paris Fire Department, in
the amount of $76, 000. 00, is hereby accepted and 1et, conditioned
upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and conditions in-
cluded in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the
City of Paris, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to
execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract with Fire
Protection Service Company, to furnish and deliver One (1) New
1977 Triple Combination 750 G. P. M. Fire Truck and Apparatus
for the City of Paris Fire Department, upon the terms and condi-
tions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto.
