1834 RES CITY COUNCIL IN RES NO 1770 ACCEPT FAA GRANT OFFERRESOLUTION NOo 1834 .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore
in Resolution No. 1770 accept FAA Grant Offer, in the amount of
$154, 659. 00, which became Project No, 6-48 -0169 -03, which provided
for Phase 1 of "Overlay and Mark Old Portion of Runway 17-35
(4500' x 150')"; and,
WHEREAS, funding is available to expand such project to in-
clude the entire length of Runway 17-35 (6000' x 150'), and it is to
the best interest of the City of. Paris to expand such project by
approving Amendment No. 1 to Grant Agreement for such project, in
the form attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the City of Paris does hereby accept the provisions of
Amendment No. 1 to Grant Agreement for Project No. 6-48-0169-03,
a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated
herein for all purposes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager,
I<erry R. Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to
execute such amendment on behalf of the City of Paris.

AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO GRANT AGREEMENT FOR PROJECT NO. 6-48-0169-03
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (hereinafter referred to as the "FAA") has deter-
mined it to be in the interest of the United States that the Grant Agreement between the FAA, acting
for and on behalf of the United States, and the Citv of. Paris
(hereinafter referred to as the "Sponsor"), accepted by said Sponsor on the l~~day of
September 19 76 be amended as hereinafter provided.
NOW THEREFORE, WITNESSETH:
That in consideration of the benefits to accrue to the parties hereto, the FAA on behalf of the
United States, on the one part, and the Sponsor, on the other part, do hereby mutually agree that
the work description set out on page 1 of said Crant Agreenent be and it is hereby
amended to read as follaws:
Phase 1 of: "Ove.rlay and mar]c Runway 17-35 (6,000' x 1501)"
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Amendment to said Grant Agreement
