1838 RES COP POPULATION WAS FOUND TO BE 23,441 IN 1970RESOLUTION N0. 1838 ,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris population was found to be
23, 441 in the 1970 Federal Census at which time there were 8, 900
water utility connections; and,
WHEREAS, on the lst day of December, 1977 there were
9, 562 water utility connections, which would indicate a population
on that date of 25,148 persons; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the comparison of. water utility connections to population
is a reasonable and accurate method of establishing population, and,
therefore, the population of the City of Paris as of December l,
1977 is hereby determined to be 25,148 persons.
