1843 RES TX POWER & LIGHT CO ON DECEMBER 21 1977 FILED RATE REQUEST WITH COPA
RESOLUTION N0. 1843 ,
WHEREAS, Texas Power & Light Company did on December 21,
1977 file a rate request with the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, such request requires extensive study; and,
WHEREAS, the laws of the State of Texas require that the
City of Paris, acting as a regulatory authority, hold a public hearing
after notice of a major rate change has been filec~; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris may suspend the opera~on of the
schedule for a period not to exceed 120 days beyond the date on
which the schedule of rates would otherwise go into effect; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIT~c' OF
PARIS, That a public hearing be, and the same is hereby set for 7:00
P. M. , on the 16th day of January, 1978, in the Co~ancil Rc~,~m, ~'i.r.v
Hall, Paris, Texas, for the purpose of receiving any and all informa -
tion germane to Texas Power & Light Company's request for a rate
increase filed with the City of Paris on the 21st day of December,
1977; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the operation of the sche-
dule of rates filed by Texas Power & Light Company on ~he 21st day
of December, 1977, be, and the same is hereby suspended for a
period not to exceed 120 days.
