1863 RES TX POWER & LIGHT CO ON DECEMBER 21 1977 FILED RATE REQUEST WITH COPRESOLUTION N0. 1863 ,
WHEREAS, Texas Power & Light Company did on December 21,
1977 file a rate request with the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, such request requires extensive study; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did here~ofore
in Resolution No. 1843, as permitted by the Public Utility Regulatory
Act of the State of Texas and the Public Utili~y Commission's Rules
of Practice and Procedure, suspend the operation of the schedule
for a period not to exceed 120 days beyond the date on which the
schedule of rates would otherwise go in~o effect; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City of
Paris that said date in which such rates are to go into effect be sus-
pended for an additional 30 days as permitted by said law and rules;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the City Council of the City of Paris, in exercise of its
rate making authori~y under the Public Utility Regulatory Act and
Rules of Practice and Procedure, does hereby suspend the operation
of the schedule of rates filed by Texas Power & Light Company on
the 21st day of December, 1977, for a period of 30 days in addition
to the 120 day period said schedule was heretofore suspended in
City of Paris Resolution No. 1843.
